Author Events Throughout Denver Public Libraries

This Saturday, February 18 at 2:30 p.m., Denver Public Library's very own Park Hill Branch will be hosting two of Colorado's most popular fantasy authors at an Author Event. Kevin Hearne author of the Iron Druid Chronicles and Carrie Vaughn author of the popular Denver based Kitty Norville series, will be there to share stories about the journey of becoming an author. What better way to celebrate the 3rd annual Winter of Reading than listening to two prolific New York Times Bestselling authors. Books will available for sale and signing.

Also this Saturday, February 18, beginning at 7 p.m., join the Smiley Branch Library for a celebration of Winter of Reading snuggled up in the Berkeley neighborhood's cozy bookstore and wine bar BookBar. Five fine Colorado authors will be participating as contestants in a literary Wait, Wait, Please Read to Me game show. Authors there for your enjoyment will be Nicky Beer, Eleanor Brown, Rebecca Taylor, Jonathan Waldman, and Carter Wilson.

Our very popular book club Read, Awareness, Dialog and Action will be teaming up with Tattered Cover Book Store on Saturday, February 25 at 2 p.m. in the Central Library Conference Center, for a special discussion of All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely. "All American Boys" explores police brutality from the perspectives of two high school classmates: one white and one black. Participants are encouraged to read the book in advance. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event. RSVP: rada@denverlibrary.org or 720-865-2045.

Use your library to do something unexpected!
