Plaza Voices: New Americans Project Advisory Board

Are you interested in helping to shape services for immigrants at the Denver Public Library? Get involved and apply to the New Americans Project advisory board, a group of community members interested in immigrant, refugee, and asylee programs at the library. This board will meet bimonthly to give library staff guidance and feedback on how to better meet the needs of our City's newest residents. This board will be encouraged to support the goals of the New Americans Project and members are expected to serve a one-year term. This includes, but is not limited to the following: respecting the tastes, privacy, and opinions of others, and promoting these programs throughout the City and County of Denver. Board members will reflect the diversity of these new communities and their needs. If you have any questions, email Will Chan,

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. MST on January 19, 2016. Prospective candidates will be notified and invited to interview with the New Americans Project selection team by January 26, 2016. If you are interested, please fill out the application form available here. Your voice is valuable & important!

Thank you for your interest in this volunteer service.
