Curious about the World Around You?

Are you curious about the world around you? If so, here are some books to spark your curiousity. Hopefully, these books will help you learn something new about the world around you.

Carl Sagan was one of the greatest astronomers and published over 600 scientific articles. In his book The Demon Haunted World, Sagan shows us how scientific thinking can help us determine what is true and what is not. If you are curious about whether or not acupuncture and other alternative medicines really work, this is the book for you!

Your Inner Fish is an excellent book which explains how humans are more like other animals than one might think. For instance, did you know that our ear is very similar to that of a shark? I read this book a few years ago, and it still stands as one of the best book.

In the book Incognito, David Eagleman explores how our brains only perceive a small portion of our reality. Eagleman explains that our brains have a hidden ambition to them, and our unconscious brain tends to rule much of what we do in our day-to-day lives.

Pick up these books at your local Denver Public Library and learn something new!
