Welcome to Winter of Reading 2019

Welcome to Winter of Reading 2019

January 2nd - February 28th

It is the fifth year of our Winter of Reading (Invierno de Lectura) program where we encourage you to visit the library, grab a brochure, and work to fulfill five reading or library activities. Sweet and simple! When you complete the challenge, bring back your brochure to any one of our 26 branches and you'll be rewarded with the choice of a Winter of Reading mug or pint glass, plus a chance at winning one of our 30 Tattered Cover prize packs.

Our libraries are full of folks who want to connect you with your next great read. One of the most essential services Denver Public Library offers is helping you find something that you're going to love reading, just for fun! Taking time to fully immerse yourself in a book is an absolutely unique and magical experience. It helps us build empathy, relax, and understand the world around us. Whether you are an avid reader and library user or are hoping to get back into reading, we hope Winter of Reading will encourage you to pick up something new and learn all about what your library has to offer.

We also want to share that while we have a bounty of wonderful, free events year round, we have cooked up a special batch for Winter of Reading 2019. Meet up with us around the city to stave off cabin fever and sign up for Winter of Reading. Join us!
