Eugene Field: One Branch One Story

Please meet Alyssa, one of Eugene Field’s best customers. Alyssa is a 10-year-old going into fifth grade and is a voracious reader. In fact, she’s such a big reader that I have trouble recommending books to her – it seems as if she has read practically everything! Currently, Alyssa’s favorite books are "The Hunger Games,” the “Harry Potter” series and “Divergent.” Needless to say, she enthusiastically participates in the Summer of Reading program every year. For this summer’s program, Alyssa participated in two of Field’s craft activities—the “Erupting Volcano” and the “Bleach Pen T-Shirt.” This photo is Alyssa working on her t-shirt. When asked what she likes best about the Summer of Reading Program, she stated “reading different books.” Moreover, her favorite prize of all is the free book. She also loves Chipotle and was pretty darned happy with the taco kit coupon I gave her. A girl after my own heart! Way to go Alyssa!
