Mini Fairy Garden Workshop

Try out a new creative project at home with the ideaLAB. Create a decorative garden scene inside a jar in this online follow-along session. Learn sculpture techniques to add unique items to your project with air dry clay. 

You can use supplies provided in an ideaLAB Take & Make Kit or your own supplies from home. To get an ideaLAB Take & Make Kit: stop by Hadley, Hampden, Montbello, Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales, or Sam Gary Branches and request a kit starting March 27. Supplies are limited, first come first served.

To follow along with the project you will need:

  • Wide mouth, shallow glass or plastic jar
  • Cardboard the width of the jar
  • Moss fabric or artificial moss to cover bottom of the jar
  • Air dry clay
  • Craft glue or hot glue
  • Decorating supplies (markers, paints, etc)
  • Optional supplies:
    • Toothpick or sculpting tools
    • Scissors
    • Found or natural objects for decorating

This is a casual learning environment, and makers of all skill levels are welcome. The program will be held on Google Meet at meet.google.com/zfn-twfu-mhn. No Google Account or sign-in is required.
