Review

Weisman's book speculates on what would happen to our world if all humans were to suddenly disappear. Despite a period of contamination from chemicals and other dangerous materials left unattended, the Earth would most likely return to a beautiful natural state, with little left to remind any future visitor that we were ever here -- except for some bronze statues and piles of plastic. A fascinating combination between science and science fiction.
