Tom Henderson has felt like an outcast for most of his life and spends his time avoiding humiliating situations and daydreaming about rock stardom. Tom and his only friend, Sam, spend their time making up band names, album titles, band members, and world conquering tour ideas. When he needs to read Catcher in the Rye for a class, he finds a copy left behind by his dead father. Not only does he find Catcher, but a whole bunch of books. To try and crack the code of who his father was, he turns to this inherited library. While solving the mystery, Tom continues his quest for world domination through rock & roll, making witty observations about the world around him along the way.
