In this two-in-one set we are introduced to irascible Agatha Raisin. Having worked hard all of her life Agatha clawed her way up from a slum in Birmingham to become a top Marketing Executive in Mayfair, she decides to "sell up" and take an early retirement in the charming Cotswolds. Though village life might just turn out to be a bit slow for Agatha Raisin. While not a great literary triumph this series is a consistently entertaining Cozy English Mystery. Filled with charming country characters, dead bodies, and just a little bit of danger, Agatha Raisin satisfies a mystery craving.
