Review

The latest album from these musical shapeshifters offers some of the best work of their careers. Each song bends genres while keeping a bit of the band's trademark sounds. Although I've enjoyed Yo La Tengo's music in the past, this is the first album that I've thoroughly appreciated from start to finish. Plus, it includes probably the best 10-plus minutes opening song of the decade.
