In this rhyming story, a little boy ties a doughnut to his belt. This doughnut starts an immense parade of creatures and people who all follow him through town. He has no idea that there is anyone following him, and when he suddenly stops, everyone comes crashing down on top of one another and are unable to continue. Unaware, the little boy continues on and arrives at his destination by the pond where he sits in the grass and enjoys eating the doughnut that began a parade.
The people following him come from all walks of live and give the reader the opportunity to discuss different professions with the children who are listening. This story is of moderate length but is easily accessible to young children.
**Be aware that one of the children who follows the doughnut is a little girl with only her knickers on.**
