On the day of his 5th wedding anniversary, Nick is shocked when his wife Amy disappears. Their front door is open, the cat is out on the porch, a kettle is boiling on the stove, and there are signs of a struggle in their living room. As the story takes you back and forth between Nick’s bizarre situation and Amy’s old journal entries, the reader is less and less sure exactly who is to be trusted.

Gillian Flynn had me reading late into the night with her wild plot and unpredictable characters. Though I thought it lost a little speed at the end, I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good, and slightly twisted, mystery.
