Paul has never doubted his faith in Jesus. He sings in the church choir, is respectful of his girlfriend Angie, and helps his widowed father out at home as much as he can. Then Manuel moves to town, and reminds Paul of all the feelings that he's been praying that Jesus take away--feelings that he likes boys, not girls. Manuel is openly gay AND a Christian. Paul is becoming friends with Manuel, but the more time he spends with him, the more he struggles between his faith and his true self. Manuel says that you don't have to choose between your faith and who are. Can Paul find a way to be true to his faith and his self? A life-changing event for Manuel may hold the answer.
