Review

Creel is an orphan who is sacrificed to a dragon by her aunt, who hopes a rich knight or prince will come rescue her. The dragon is not interested in eating people, though, so Creel bargains with the dragon for a treasure in exchange for saving him from the knight. As Creel sets off to seek her fortune in the king's city, the dragon's gift turns out to have the power to save or destroy the kingdom. Creel must face the future with bravery. If you like books by Gail Carson Levine or Shannon Hale, you will love Dragon Slippers!
