Review

The book jacket describes this as "the astonishing true story of a high-society cat burglar." The timing of this memoir was dictated by the statute of limitations, which finally ran out on Mason's last heist. This is a real page-turner, describing not only the highs of pulling off complex jobs, but also the lows of jail-time and fall-out with his family. Co-author Gruenfeld, using the pseudonym Troon McAllister, also wrote The Green, a fun fictional account of a wild group of golfers in the Ryder Cup.
