Review

This huge book might look intimidating, but it is very worth lugging home and cracking open. (Or get it in ebook format - it is lighter!) It is hard to describe the way the author weaves a bit of science fiction/alternate world with crime, mystery and a touching love story of two people who meet as children and think of each other for years afterwards.  Set mostly in Tokyo there are two moons, little people, an assassin, a rich old lady who harbors victims of abuse, and many many other atmospheric touches. I didn't know what to expect, but this book turned out to be one of my favorites this year.
