Online Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentations


The Web 2.0 tools listed here provide an alternative to traditional office applications and are available from any computer with Internet access. In addition, the Denver Public Library offers word processing-only computers with Microsoft Office applications in the Library Lab at the Central Library and in selected branches.

Each of these sites will ask you to create a free account so you can save and retrieve your files from any Internet-accessible computer. Many of these sites also allow for collaboration so you have the option to invite others to edit or view your files. Creating an Account or E-Mail Address

Many personalized online services require that you create a free account. To create a free account, you will have to decide on a unique user name and a password that you will remember but should be difficult for others to guess. Some applications will ask you for reminder questions and answers so if you forget your password you can answer a simple question to be reminded of your password.

Many of these services require that you have an e-mail address. Having an e-mail address allows these services to send you password reminders and, if you allow it, they'll send you news and updates about their services.
