Brilliant, witty and wise beyond her years, Anne Frank wrote unsparingly of her family’s claustrophobic years in hiding in an Amsterdam attic before their ultimate betrayal and execution by the occupying Nazi army. The Denver Center Theatre Company presents a new adaptation of the prize-winning play based on Anne Frank’s diary. In cooperation with the Mizel Museum of Denver, the DCTC will host the exhibit Child Survivors of Denver in the lobby of the Space Theatre during the run of The Diary of Anne Frank (November 9 through December 15). At this special event, learn about plans to recreate “The Secret Annex” on stage. The Mizel Museum will provide a speaker who will describe his real-life experiences as a child in Nazi Germany and how he survived the tragedy. Finally, the evening ends with a sneak preview of the exhibit in the lobby of the theatre. For more info on DCTC, go to denvercenter.org. Registration is required.
