Community Technology Center
Have a resume to send? A disc to burn? Files to download onto your USB drive? The Community Technology Center (CTC) is the place for you! Located on Level Four of the Central Library, the CTC is open to customers who want to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as the Internet and be able to save and attach files. Important Information
- Customers are encouraged to make a reservation for a PC in the Lab. We have 10 PCs with a 1 hour limit for general use and 8 PCs with a 2 hour limit for job seeking and academic research.
- The hard drive on each computer will be deleted after each session so no information can be saved to the hard drive. CTC users are encouraged to bring a USB flash drive to save their information. You can also bring a floppy disk or a CD-R.
- Diskettes and CD-Rs can be purchased in the CTC for one dollar each and USB drives for eight dollars.
- The Library is not responsible for any damage or loss of data that results from the use of the Library’s equipment or software.
- Printouts from public computers are 10 cents per page for black & white on three paper sizes (8.5 x 11, 8.5 x 14 or 11 x 14) and 50 cents per page for color on 8.5 x 11 paper. Customers are not allowed to bring their own paper, labels or envelopes for use in the laser printers. Consult the Print Release FAQ for more information.
- Customers are not allowed to load their own software onto CTC computers.
- ADA Workstation is available in the CTC for customers who might need different modes of access to print and electronic resources. More information.
- A typewriter is also available for customer use.
- Library staff and volunteers will provide assistance but are not able to provide extensive training on the use of the computers or software. For more information on classes offered in these areas, please call 720-865-1706 or check the Library Computer Classes schedule.
- Teachers: Library instruction is available for student groups. More information. Please call 720-865-1134 or use this form to schedule. Two weeks advance notice is requested.
