Science Matters - Crazy Carbon Dioxide

Performance and Presentations
Thursday, August 7, 2014 - 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Meeting Room

We need carbon dioxide to live. Plants use it to make oxygen. Carbon dioxide is all around us. In this assembly we will explore the main phases of carbon dioxide, dry ice and bubble/fizzy CO2 gas bubbles. We will experiment with dry ice, Alka-Seltzer, Mentos and Diet Coke, and make a lava lamp, a tower of changing colors, fog filled dry ice bubbles and more. Limited to 60 participants. Tickets will be distributed at the Ask Desk starting one hour prior to the program (5:30 p.m.).
