When a place is put onto a map in gains reality in the minds of people, even if it has no reality in fact. This talk, by Christopher W. Lane, proprietor of The Philadelphia Print Shop West, and nationally acclaimed expert on antique prints and maps, will look at some of these non-existent places over time such as El Dorado, California as an island, St. Brendan's Island, and early versions of Colorado which are still "on the map."
