The History of Fort Logan

Hear the story of the historic Fort Logan Field Officer's Quarters near Quincy and Lowell. The 3-story brick home, built in 1889 on "officer's row," which still stands, is now a museum and has been designated a Denver Landmark. Fort Logan's story began in 1887 with the arrival of troops at the new "Camp Near the City of Denver." Over the years, thousands of soldiers and airmen enlisted, served, and were separated at Fort Logan until the military post closed in 1946.
