Books Authors and Writing

As a young but growing genre of writing, creative non-fiction presents truth and facts while using the enticing language and techniques of fiction. Like documentary film, it seeks to present stories from the real world as art. Dr. Leslie Wright, a visiting professor who teaches fiction and non-fiction writing at Metro State, invites you to attend a workshop on writing creative non-fiction. Whether you have an interest in penning your memoirs, writing humorous essays about popular culture, or diving into a biography of your family history, Dr. Wright will provide you with exercises and tips to get started on turning your real-world stories into art.
