Mucho Mojo author event opens the Denver RomCon!

I never think I may have lost my mojo until someone brings up the idea of mojo (that magic spell or essence  that makes people attractive to each other). Once the subject comes up, I feel my posittraction levels start to plummet. But what can be had and lost can also be recaptured.

It was popular for a time (when everyone was listening to Enya's first album on cassette) to wear a mojo bag around your neck - a hip little suede drawstring bag filled with essentials to boost your mojo -- things like crystals, bits of poetry, a lucky coin. It was the New Age version of "fake it 'til you make it."

This Thursday at MadWine Bar, Fresh City Life presents Mucho Mojo, a hands-on craft and author event to celebrate the Romance Convention being held this weekend in Denver. Trish Tilly, our fave craftinatrix, will help you whip up a mojo bag of your own, then you'll have a chance to meet and greet three urban fantasy authors as they supply bits of mojo for your bag. Finally, all of our authors will take turns reading a passage or two from each other's books. All fun, all free.

Mucho Mojo will feature the following fantasy authors: Nicole Peeler (Jane True series, including Tempest Rising), Kimberly Frost (national bestselling Southern Witch series, which includes Would-Be Witch, Barely Bewitched, and Halfway Hexed), and Jeanne Stein (national bestselling series The Anna Strong Vampire Chronicles).
