How to Buy a New Computer
The first step is to think about what you will be using your computer for. If you will only be surfing the internet and checking your email, a very basic machine will probably suit your needs, but if you are going to be doing a lot of gaming or video editing, you may need something more powerful.
THINGS TO CONSIDER:
Performance
- Hard drive capacity for storage
- RAM for speed
- CPU/Processor for multi tasking
Types of computers
- Mac or PC?
- Desktop, Laptop, Netbook, or Tablet?
Cost
- Most personal computers cost between $300-$2000.
