Feng Shui, Furniture, and Books!
La's Orchestra Saves the World

Ready to redecorate? How about a book discussion? Look no further than Fresh City Life My Branch this week!

We have several options for all of you redecorators and refinishers out there! Tonight at 6:30 at Schlessman, plan your place with an Introduction to Feng Shui! You'll learn how the energy of spaces and things impacts our everyday lives, and how to use Feng Shui tools to make changes in your environment with Lorrie Webb Grillo of Thriving Spaces Feng Shui. Or maybe you have a piece of furniture lying around in your basement or garage that you've been meaning to restore. Don't let it languish any longer! Learn about Restoring Your Old Wood Furniture with Denver Urban Homesteading expert Irina Bertini. You'll learn about bringing new life to antique or vintage furniture, doors, and cabinets, as well as sandpapers, electric sanders, handsaws, stains, and where to get inexpensive materials. Join us at the Ross-Cherry Creek Branch on Wednesday, August 17 at 6:00 p.m.

Maybe a book club is more your speed this week? We have two to choose from! The Between the Covers Book Discussion Group at Ross-Cherry Creek will be talking about La's Orchestra Saves the World by Alexander McCall Smith on Tuesday, August 16 at 2:00 p.m. Books on Broadway will meet at the Ross-Broadway Branch on Wednesday, August 17 at 1:30 p.m. This club doesn't have a particular book they're discussing, it's a time for you to come hear what others are reading and share your own enthusiasm for that special book or author.

Dear Mr. Becker,

I apologize for taking up space, but I was very interested by your introductory Feng Shui courses at Schlessman. Are there any such sessions planned in 2013?

Thank you very much

Kind regards
Talia
