ProspectorProspector
Due to the migration to our new Integrated Library System (ILS), the Denver Public Library is not connected to Prospector at this time. This connection would have broken no matter which new ILS the Library selected. DPL is working with all involved parties to restore access to Prospector. With outstanding technical issues, and the need for extensive testing and staff training, the Library cannot provide a specific timeline for return of the service.

While this news may be disappointing, Prospector items were less than 1% of DPL's circulation in 2010 and the primary focus of the migration has been to ensure the items used by the overwhelming majority of our customers are available to them.

As a resident of Colorado, DPL customers have the ability to borrow material from all the public libraries in Prospector as well as some of the university libraries. While customers have to check out the material at these locations, the items may be returned to DPL. The Library will forward these items to the appropriate institution through the statewide courier.

*You may submit 30 requests per year into the Request It! system, including requests placed through WorldCat and purchase requests. All requests are counted, regardless of outcome.
