Denver Public Library Catalog
Search here first to check if the Denver Public Library owns the item you are looking for. We can deliver it to your local branch if it's at another DPL location. Try the options below in the order they appear on the page if DPL does not own the item you are looking for.
Prospector is a combined catalog of 23 Colorado and Wyoming libraries and has over 20 million items you may request and have delivered to your local branch. Check the status of your Prospector requests using My Account on our website.
An important note about Prospector:
Customers who have reached their hold limit in My Account (30 active holds), are not eligible to place Prospector requests. If you have exceeded your requests you will see a message that "Your ID is Blocked".
- Wait until some of your active holds change to intransit or hold shelf status before placing your request
- Cancel some of your active holds
For some customers the pick up branch in My Account is different from the pick up location selected when placing a Prospector request.
- The item will be sent to the Denver Public Library branch you selected in Prospector. This pick up location will be reflected in your hold notification when the item arrives. This is a temporary issue that will be resolved with a future Prospector upgrade.
Use this national and international catalog to search for items not available at the Denver Public Library. You must fill out a one-time Request It registration to place Interlibrary Loan requests.
