Want to walk Denver or be inspired to research your family tree? Get information on either or both with these upcoming Fresh City Life My Branch Colorado Authors Series events at Schlessman.

On Sunday, September 25 at 2:00 p.m., Mindy Sink will discuss her latest release, Walking Denver: 30 Tours of the Mile High City's Best Urban Trails, Historic Architecture, River and Creekside Paths, and Cultural Highlights. Hear her talk and then get out and explore your city in this beautiful fall weather! Mindy is also the coauthor of Colorado Organic: Cooking Seasonally, Eating Locally. She has written extensively for the New York Times, and her work has also appeared in the Christian Science Monitor, Sunset, and many other well-known publications. On Monday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m., meet author Buzzy Jackson and hear her story about researching her family's history, which led to the book Shaking the Family Tree: Blue Bloods, Black Sheep, and Other Obsessions of an Accidental Genealogist. Learn what she discovered about her own family and the interesting community of genealogists that she encountered on her journey. Joining Ms. Jackson will be DPL's own in-house genealogy specialist, James Jeffrey.

Books will be available for sale & signing at both events from The Broadway Book Mall.
