Celebrate Summer!

Are you ready for summer? While the kids are doing DPL's Summer of Reading Program, adults can have fun and learn at the library all summer long, too! Summer's not quite here yet, but these upcoming Fresh City Life My Branch programs will give you a taste:

Learn to make (and sample) creative Summer Salads at Schlessman on Monday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. If you're tired of iceberg lettuce, this class is for you! Cool off mealtime while keeping it healthy with these salads that will introduce more veggies into your diet and that your whole family will love! This class is also being offered on Tuesday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ross-Cherry Creek Branch, Wednesday, June 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the Smiley Branch, and Thursday, June 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bear Valley Branch.

Want an attractive centerpiece to go with your salad? Check out Summer Floral Arranging at Ross-Cherry Creek on Tuesday, May 10 at 6:00 p.m. Know nothing about flowers? This class will teach you some basic floral design techniques and how to design a simple centerpiece using practical tools and unique form. This is a hands-on workshop for the first 6 interested people who want to design their centerpiece during class, so come early if you want to be one of the lucky ones! This class will also be offered on Wednesday, June 8 at 6:00 p.m. at the Smiley Branch. Presented by Sarah of Ladybird Poppy.

Other upcoming SUMMER classes include:

Bicycle Commuting (at multiple locations!)

Introduction to Composting

Tips for Summer Fun
