• Halle Berry is rumored to be playing the lead in the film version of Shoe Addicts Anonymous.
• The Extra Man based on the book by Jonathan Ames premieres this weekend and stars Kevin Klein and John C. Reilly.
• Charlie St. Cloud, based on the novel The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud and starring Zac Efron, also premieres this weekend.
• Beastly by Alex Flinn, an adaptation of the fairy tale Beauty and the Beast, will be released as a film in May 2011 starring Vanessa Hudgens.
• The 39 Clues, an extremely popular juvenile book series, is in production and rumored to be filmed by Steven Spielberg.
• Atlas Shrugged, based on the classic novel by Ayn Rand, is in post-production and is awaiting a release date.
• It wouldn't be Christmas without a big blockbuster release - and this year it looks like The Chronicles of Narnia - The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is a clear contender.
• Other films in pre-production include, Magic Kingdom for Sale, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, The Ivy Chronicles, The Illustrated Man and Playing for Pizza.
