Blog! Blog! Blog! Learn how to Blog!
“Blog” is short for “web blog.” Typically a blog will have some sort of theme, whether it’s an organization’s blog like this one, a blog about a specific topic (say, cats saying absurd things, or things to do in Denver when you're broke) or a personal diary (not too personal though because it’s being shared with the public). Some blogs are text-based while others tend to post videos and images. Regardless of topic, the point of a blog is to gather online readers by posting short, informal bits of information and encouraging readers to comment.
So who blogs? You do! I do! We do! The beauty of blogging is that anyone with a little bit of know-how and some typing skills can have a voice and garner a readership. And the know-how is easy enough to come by- if this is something you might be interested in, come to the CTC’s Blogging 101 class on Sunday, August 7th from 2-4 p.m., on Level 4 of the Central library (no registration required). Whether you want to start a blog yourself or are just interested in learning more about this new and fun communication tool, we’ll answer all your questions.

Do you know how people can post blogs to the library's website?
Hi Monique,
Currently all of the blogs are written by library staff, but we are considering blogs for our customers in the future. Thanks.
