Independence Day Closure: July 4

All Denver Public Library locations will be closed Friday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause.

You can still use many of the Library's resources even when the buildings are closed:

Catalog, My Account, Databases and OverDrive Service Interruption July 5-6

The Denver Public Library will be performing maintenance to the online catalog on Saturday, July 5 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, July 6 at 8 a.m. During this time, there will be intermittent access to the catalog, My Account, databases and OverDrive.

Central Library Open Noon - 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 27

The The Central Library will be open noon - 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, one hour earlier than the normal Sunday schedule, in order to facilitate the annual Día del Niño/Día del Libro event.

2014 Juanita Gray / Blacks in Colorado Hall of Fame Award Winners

On February 1, 2014 the Denver Public Library honored five African American community leaders at the Juanita Gray Community Service Awards and the Blacks in Colorado Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The event was held at the Ford-Warren Branch Library and kicked off the library’s celebration of Black History Month.

Blood Drive at DPL: July 2

Bonfils Blood Center

The Denver Public Library has partnered with Bonfils Blood Center to host a blood drive outside of the Central Library on the Bonfils mobile blood collection bus.
