Labor Day Closures: August 31 - September 1

All Denver Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, August 31 and Monday, September 1 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Branch Library Closures: Broadway, Field, Hadley

Building Maintenance Closures

For the safety of our staff and customers, the Ross-Broadway Branch Library will be closed Monday, August 11 through Wednesday, August 27 for roof replacement. Book drops will remain open and holds ready for pick up will remain on the hold shelf for one additional week upon the branch reopening. Nearby branch libraries:

2014 Juanita Gray / Blacks in Colorado Hall of Fame Award Winners

On February 1, 2014 the Denver Public Library honored five African American community leaders at the Juanita Gray Community Service Awards and the Blacks in Colorado Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The event was held at the Ford-Warren Branch Library and kicked off the library’s celebration of Black History Month.

Blood Drive at DPL: September 2

Bonfils Blood Center

The Denver Public Library has partnered with Bonfils Blood Center to host a blood drive outside of the Central Library on the Bonfils mobile blood collection bus.
