Yum! Focus on Food at Ross-Cherry Creek

Everyone enjoys eating tasty food. Coming up at Ross-Cherry Creek we have two programs which will assist in preparing food.

Join us Wednesday, January 15 at 6 p.m. for The Secret Life of the Specialty Diet led by Amanda Faison. Amanda oversees all food-related coverage for 5280 magazine. Her youngest daughter has multiple food allergies. Desiring to provide her daughter great tasting food she has taken on the challenge of cooking with substitutes. Faison is an avid cook who loves to recipe test and tinker in the kitchen.

Get ready for this week's Fresh City Life My Branch programs! Get them on your calendar and don't forget to check if registration is required!

Learn how to transfer images from photos and magazines onto recycled jars to make a beautiful candle holder or vase. If you would like to use a particular photo, please bring at least two laser copies. Registration is required. Friday, October 11 at 3 p.m. at the Ross-Broadway Branch Library.

Chef Jess is going to show you how to make soup from fresh produce and short list of pantry ingredients; she'll also talk about making luxurious stocks that can be the base for great homemade meals. Try Tai Chi at the Bear Valley Branch Library on Saturday, January 22, 3:00 p.m. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese system of exercises used to build energy (qi) and vitality for improved quality of life and longevity. These exercises are accessible to people of all ages and abilities. Come explore the benefits of energy based exercise and learn daily movements from Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Dao Yin.
