Did you know that singing is a good way for children to learn and practice their language skills, literacy skills, and build a stronger vocabulary? When you sing, language slows down, making it easier for children to hear the different sounds that make up words.
If you don’t think you have the voice to be the next American Idol or if you don’t have a big enough repertoire to sing with your children at home, join us for our next Bilingual Sing-Along with Mr. Chufo where you’ll learn songs in English & Spanish. Your children won’t care if you can’t keep a tune. They just want to have fun singing with you. Our next Sing-Along is happening this Saturday, June 1 at 2 p.m. at the Central Library in the Children’s Pavilion. Come and check it out!
Do your shower acoustics assist in delusions of stardom? Do you secretly await the lone elevator ride or duck into a stairwell to break out in song? Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of a choir?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you won't want to miss over 6,000 voices and 200 performances of the GALA Festival 2012. The streets of downtown Denver are going to be filled with the sound of music. Gleeks and groupies of Gareth Malone, choirmaster who is changing communities one song at a time on BBC's The Choir, will turn out in force.
