On Saturday, March 19, 10 a.m. at the Schlessman Family Branch, learn about the health benefits of yoga from Michelle Corriell, Registered Yoga Teacher and owner of neighborhood studio Harmony Yoga. Michelle will answer common questions that people have about starting a yoga practice and help you decide if it's right for you. You don't have to be flexible to try yoga, and you don't have to be of a certain age or ability level, either!

Learn about the women, well-behaved and not, who have made history in Colorado. Fairmount volunteers Joan & Garry O'Hara will be your guides for this slide show through the history of Colorado's notable women.

Mr. Hall's book is a memoir of his days as the world's first parachuting mining engineer. He completed over 1800 jumps in his 60 years and has received many awards and honors for his parachuting innovations. Mr. Hall is a retired Colorado Air National Guard Brigadier General and was inducted into the Colorado Aviation Hall of Fame in 1985. St. Joan is an award-winning poet, travel writer, teacher, and lawyer. She has worked as a county judge, a law professor, and a child and human rights advocate. My Sisters Made of Light is her first novel.

There are several options for you crafty folks. On Tuesday, March 1 at 10 a.m., the Bear Valley Branch will be hosting Sit 'n Knit, a group sure to please any fiber maven. Both experienced knitters and beginners are welcome to share their knowledge and learn something new. Fiber hosts are Kathy Orth and Charlotte Updike.
