Do you like to… be creative? Be inspired by stories from around the world? Learn new words in Spanish? Try traditional foods?
I want to invite you, your family and your friends to our awesome ART SATURDAY program at Byers Branch Library on Saturday, June 15 from 2–4 p.m.

Surrounded by theaters, art galleries and museums, recording studios, antique shops, unique restaurants, and much more, Byers Branch Library is located in the heart of the Art District on Santa Fe.

DPS Art Show

The Denver Public Library is pleased to host the annual Denver Public Schools K-8 Art Exhibition from April 5 to April 19. Come see these wonderful works created by Denver’s elementary and middle school students. While you're downtown, visit some other art institutions around Denver. Then bring out your child’s (and your) creativity by making art from materials found around the house.

Participation in the arts provides many benefits for children of all ages. According to Americans for the Arts making art strengthens critical thinking and problem solving skills, bolsters self-confidence, and improves memory. After viewing the Denver Public Schools exhibit on Level 5 of the Central Library, take advantage of Denver’s active art community and spend a day immersing your child in visual art.

ArtSkool debuts this Spring

Fresh City Life debuts its new monthly series: ArtSkool. This arts exploration is designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of visual and performing arts, while at the same time building a bridge between students and Denver’s vibrant arts community. ArtSkool “students” will build an appreciation for an art form with which they previously had little or no experience. As with all of our events and workshops, Fresh City Life will partner with talented individuals and organizations to bring exciting programs within reach of our community.
