Music and Dance

Brian Mullins and Mike Fitzmaurice play the Chinese erhu, a two-stringed bowed instrument, along with a variety of other Chinese instruments. This lively group has performed at Denver Public Library before and is back by popular demand. Enjoy traditional Chinese tunes mixed with contemporary and American music played on these classical instruments.

International vocalist, Faye Nepon, comes to Denver Public Library in a concert of Jewish cultural music accompanied by expert pianist Sheldon Sands. Nepon’s voice, full of magic and warmth, reflects her passion for the diversity of world song. Singing in Yiddish, Hebrew, Italian, Ladino and English, Nepon’s music is at once grounded in history and narrative with the lightness and joy of a fairytale.

Performing their recent commissions, Ciranda and two other compositions that inspired their debut album – Summer Play – Mountain Music Duo’s concerts reflect ten years of performing nationally. Ciranda is a children's suite depicting games and tunes from her Brazilian heritage. Mountain Music Duo offers fresh interpretations of classical, pop, and jazz music.

Join Occupational Therapist, Amy Conrad, for new songs, fingerplays and stretches to do with your baby. Please bring a blanket to play on. Siblings are allowed, but many of the songs are geared to holding and dancing with your baby. For 6-18 month-olds and their caregivers.
