Award-winning pianist Nick Busheff will be performing his favorite pop/rock music from his “Legends of the Piano” series which was performed on Elton John’s red piano and Billy Joel’s touring Steinway. In addition to these two artists, Nick will be playing the hits of Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, The Beatles as well as a few selections from his lounge-metal band Kinky Mink which performs jazz versions of 80’s hairband metal.

Brian Mullins and Mike Fitzmaurice play the Chinese erhu, a two-stringed bowed instrument, along with a variety of other Chinese instruments. This lively group has performed at Denver Public Library before and is back by popular demand. Enjoy traditional Chinese tunes mixed with contemporary and American music played on these classical instruments.

Composer and multi-instrumentalist Jesse Manno received his first commission in 1982 and has since created over eighty original scores for dance, theatre, film and multimedia productions. His work has been supported by Meet The Composer, Inc. (a division of the NEA), KRMA Denver PBS TV, The National Guild of Organists, Montgomery Watson Inc., Bates Dance Festival, and the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, among others, and has been presented all across the USA, as well as in Holland, Germany, Switzerland, the U.K.,Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Saudi Arabia.
Surprisingly inspired by the guitar playing of Slash, Jon Sousa began rocking on the guitar at age of 11. His musical journey soon took him to the extremes of rock and metal, but not before a radical left turn into the world of electronic dance music production. After moving to Colorado in 2003, Jon fell deeply in love with Traditional Irish music and solo fingerstyle guitar.
Returning for an encore performance, the Castle Rock Community Ringers make incredible music using only the classic choir bells – and these musicians know how to create a joyful noise! The well-regarded Castle Rock Community Ringers will show us how to ‘throw cares away’ with their thoughtful blend of holiday and secular songs all created with perfectly pitched handbells. Fresh City Life is honored to be hosting a free performance of the Denver Gay Men's Chorus in its 31st season. This spectacular event will feature almost 200 men. Their angelic singing, bright spirits, and holiday cheer will enhance your season. This concert will include favorite holiday carols, magnificent settings of "Gloria" and "Hodie Christus Natus Est," an audience sing-a-long, and plenty of inspirational singing, including a stunning arrangement of "I Heard the Bells". The concert will close with the fastest version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" ever performed.
This hot trio has been bringing their cool nostalgic sounds to packed performances for four years. Reveille 3 draws much of its material from the recordings of the Andrew Sisters, but they are at their very best singing the songs we all cherish from holidays past. This is their third annual holiday concert at Denver Public Library and Fresh City Life is pleased to host these winter songbirds. With precision harmonies and big band rhythms, Reveille 3 will always be Denver’s golden girls.
