More Than 36 Days is the story of 4 Denver area men who served as U.S. Marines during World War II in the battle for Iwo Jima in the Pacific. It is not a war book--it focuses on the men, their backgrounds, and how the war experience defined them. They spent 36 days on the island, but their stories are more than that. Learn from the hearts and souls of Don Whipple, Joe Weinmeier, Max Brown, and Jim Blane.
How I transcribed a testament (will) of 1570
Dorothy's previously scheduled discussion of what it took to transcribe "secretary hand" used in 16th Century Scotland was postponed due to inclement weather. She created a modern version of the will and then deciphered the structure of the Rolland Acoltrane family of Wigtownshire, Scotland. Dorothy is a member of W.I.S.E. as well as the Boulder Genealogical Society, the New England Historic Genealogical Society and is treasurer of the Colorado Council of Genealogical Societies.
This program was previously scheduled Dec 2011.
