This exciting workshop will include warm up, exercises with masks, discovering emotions and much more all focused on the themes of Homecoming/Return of the Warrior. With this workshop, you’ll be ready to explore the subtleties of this ancient craft. Fresh City Life has been creating new knitters since Fall of 2004 with the aid of our expert knitting teachers and the relaxing 3-part classes. The ultra portable, easy-to-learn cousin of knitting; our beginning crochet class is a great way to take up this retro hobby. Instructor Christa Rogers will share tips, techniques and her love of this fiber craft in this 3-part workshop. And once you have the basics down, Christa will share a handful of great patterns for you to choose from for your first project. This workshop will also be a great foundation for our advanced class coming up this summer – Hyperbolic Crochet – a fantastic approach to crochet that leads to very sculptural pieces.

Every Monday evening the Fresh City Lounge is open for freestyle stitchers to come in and enjoy the company of other knitters.

Denver’s oldest and most beloved bookbinding house is opening its doors for a unique, insider’s look at creating and binding books. Tour includes a workshop on making your own hardcover, single-signature book to take home. $15 materials fee (all materials and supplies included). Registration is required. Fresh City Life pitches in to help our friends at the Denver Art Museum celebrate a special Untitled event. Highlighting the Yves Saint Laurent exhibition, this Untitled brings together an eclectic mix of presenters – great music, fashion, and some do-it-yourself fun. Yves Saint Laurent was famous for his spectacular tuxedos (for men and women), his eccentric spectacles and his dedication to his craft. Fresh City Life brings hot to haute with a pocket square station for all chic crafters. Come to make and take a little bit of YSL home with you.
