Decals on Fused Glass Pendants with Ceramics in the City

Glass fusing is very simple and beautiful. In this workshop we will be creating glass fused pendants. Artists will learn to cut glass and layer to make their own personal design. A variety of decals will be supplied for artists to apply to pendants. For grades 6-12. No registration is required.

Fresh City Life celebrates our GLBT community at this year’s Pridefest. When you need a break from all the pageantry in the park, come inside the McNichols Building to cool down and have some fun. We’ll be serving up festival realness at our lemonade stand in the McNick. Sample some cooling beverages from our friends at Whole Foods Market and make a free button or fridge magnet commemorating an important figure or quotable quote from GLBT history.

Crafts for the Masses: Nature in Paperclay

Create lasting, sculptural pieces using this lightweight and versatile art medium. Explore paper clay manipulation with our expert instructor and turn Paperclay® into an organic, expressive bouquet. Students will learn tips for creating different abstracted floral shapes and growth patterns! Finished work will be bas relief and, once it is dry, will be ready to hang on the wall. $10 materials fee, all supplies included. Registration required.
