Vampire Hunters

Legend says that as long as there have been vampires, there have been vampire hunters. At least in the movies it is true. Buffy the Vampire Slayer may be the most popular of the vampire hunters, but many other films portray the dark side of vampires and those who fight them.

Dracula on Film

Count Dracula was introduced to the world by Bram Stoker in his 1891 work, Dracula. In 1931, Bela Lugosi embodied the horrific role. Dracula remains the king of the vampires, as the number of films that include a reference to "Dracula" is well over 200, according to the Internet Movie Database.

Comedy with Bite

As the vampire craze rages on, spoofs continue to poke fun at the stereotypes and scenarios common to horror films. These funny films feature vampires in comedic situations.

Zombies!

Zombie films are not only horrific and often humorous, but also offer an interesting critique on the occasionally mindless nature of humanity. If you see zombies downtown this weekend, it might just be the Zombie Crawl!

My favorite slacker from The Office celebrates another birthday today! Born on this date in 1979, John Krasinski has been in a number of films. He recently made his directorial debut with Brief Interviews with Hideous Men.
