Indian Summer: Bollywood Film Series this August

No one tells a Hollywood fantasy like Hollywood -- with the exception of India. Bollywood is India's cinematic love letter to Hollywood film style.

They are big and bold; saturated with color and costumes; replete with beautiful music and romantic story lines. Bollywood is Hollywood magnified ten times. Denver Public Library samples some of the finest Bollywood has to offer with three exceptional films in August. Free and open to the public.

Kristen Ashley has a soft spot for the Denver Public Library. She started her writing career here in Denver and often wrote and did research in our libraries. And now she wants to say thank you to DPL and to all of her loyal readers. Kristen is coming to Denver for a special event to meet her fans and raise funds for one of her favorite places - Denver Public Library.

Local Authors Visit The Denver Public Library

Colorado has some pretty amazing local authors and we're proud to share them with you. Join us this week to hear excerpts of their writing and participate in lively discussions.

Local favorite, Wayne Omura, will discuss his latest book, Zen Foot-Notes: Upon the Unknown Passage. It's a "metaphysical-mystical mountain climbing adventure symbolic of our journey through life." Join us Wednesday, July 24 at 6 p.m. at the Ross-Cherry Creek Branch.
