Our knitting expert, Ann Myhre, from Knitty Cat, kicks off our 2013 fiber workshop calendar with a fantastic intermediate-level workshop for dedicated knitters. This 3 part, technique-focused class will expose students to not only a great pattern (mistake rib stitch), but also the craft of grafting knitted pieces together using live stitches. This creates an invisible seam that has multiple applications in the art form. In this three-night workshop students will create a faux-moebius cowl with the above skills.

Every Monday evening the Fresh City Lounge is open for freestyle stitchers to come in and enjoy the company of other knitters. After a holiday hiatus, our knit night relaunches with a fun night that includes a film presentation of The Tale of Two Cities, which features Madame Defarge, our knitting salon’s namesake. We’ll also serve up some hot tea and bread, and if the bread runs out – we’ll eat cake. Viva la resistance!
