What is NetLibrary and why do I need an account?

The Denver Public Library has purchased over 18,000 electronic books (eBooks) from NetLibrary, a commercial provider of online books in full-text. This eBook collection includes subjects such as computers, business, resume and careers, study guides and exams, travel, science projects, consumer guides, and more. Cliffs Notes are also available. The eBooks are full-text, fully searchable, and are accessible from any Web browser. An account is required if you wish to check out any of the titles you find or to view eBooks from home. You do not need an account simply to view an item from the Library.
