Do you have a little horse lover in your life? Join us for a family-friendly author talk by Peg Sundberg, author of the Cowgirl Peg series at Schlessman at 10 a.m. Her series uses horses and dogs to deliver character building messages to young readers. Dress in your best Western wear!

Join DPL's Western History Department for a Creating Your Community scanning day at the Ross-Broadway Branch at 1 p.m. Creating Your Community is a new way to share your stories and photos about Colorado with others in your community. Let us digitize your historical treasures! We can scan up to 3 items no larger than 8.5" x 11.7". A USB drive will be provided. Want to learn more about Creating Your Community and how it works? Join us for an information session on Monday, July 23 at 6 p.m. at Schlessman or Thursday, August 16 at 6 p.m. at Bear Valley!

Thinking about becoming a beekeeper? Learn the basics of Beekeeping at 2 p.m. at the Smiley Branch. Siobhan Keleher has been keeping bees in Denver for 3 years. She'll get your started with information about books, DVDs, web sites, and bee clubs to help you get started, as well as with a general overview of the types of hives.

Love books? Ever thought of making crafts out of them? That's just what we'll be doing at the Ross-University Hills Branch at 2 p.m. Make a votive candle holder or earrings, and maybe get ideas for other book-centric projects!

Remember, there is still space to sign up for events such as Crafting in Miniature, Personal Awareness and Safety Strategies, and Metal Embossing! See the complete listing of Fresh City Life My Branch events here, and email fclmybranch@denverlibrary.org to sign up for things that require that!
