Fresh City Life started Crafts for the Masses last year to provide an opportunity for a lot of like-minded creatives to be in a big room to make and learn together. We like to think of Crafts for the Masses as Reverend Sun Myung Moon mass wedding -- except for crafts. And less commitment.

Crafts for the Masses: Nature in Paperclay®
Saturday, June 8, 1-4 p.m.
Central Library, Level B2 Conference Center

Create lasting, sculptural pieces using this lightweight and versatile art medium. Explore paper clay manipulation with our expert instructor and artist, Emma Ginsberg. Her found art and mixed media pieces demonstrate that she knows how to make treasure from trash; her use of paper clay in bas relief works (bottom two photos) shows her ability to combine art and craft.

You can, too; turn a shapeless lump of Paperclay® into an organic, expressive bouquet in this technique-based workshop. Students will learn tips for creating different abstracted floral shapes and growth patterns! Finished work will be bas relief and, once it is dry, will be ready to hang on the wall. $10 materials fee, all supplies included. Registration required.
