UPDATE 5/14/14: BuildCamp and DevCamp are both at capacity, but you can still register to be placed on the waitlist!

Denver Public Library's ideaLAB is proud to announce two exciting opportunities for tech-minded teens this summer: BuildCamp and DevCamp!

BuildCamp is a three-week, free program for Denver teens interested in learning about building and maintaining computers, run through a partnership between Community College of Denver and Denver Public Library. Teens will work with a CCD professor, CCD students, and a DPL technology expert to learn the basics of computer repair, including disassembling a computer and rebuilding it from the bottom up, installing software and computer networking. The program is available to teens 12-19, and will run June 10 through June 26, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. until 12:20 p.m. It will be held at the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver. Registration is limited to 21 teens. You can register now on the DPL teen website!

DevCamp is a chance to learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, working side-by-side with professionals in the field. We'll build websites, talk to experts, and tour some amazing places. DevCamp is free for any teen age 12-19, and no prior coding experience is necessary. Registration is limited, so head over to the teen website and register now! Dev Camp will be held July 14 through July 25: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Central Library at 14th and Broadway in Denver.

If you have any questions about either of the camps, please email us at ctc@denverlibrary.org or give us a call at 720-865-1706. We're looking forward to making some amazing things with teens this summer!
