Come Geocache With Us!

Alphabet Denver

The Fresh City Life My Branch Colorado Authors Series presents Kitty Migaki, author of Alphabet Denver on April 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Schlessman Family Branch Library.

Why are we talking about it so early? Because we want you & your family to participate in the hunt! In advance of Kitty Migaki's April 1 presentation on Alphabet Denver - A GPS Alphabet Hunt Book, we are highlighting the GPS Alphabet Hunt feature of the book, by hosting a GPS hunt of our own! Follow this clue: 39˚40.472' -104˚58.045' in the first step towards our cache box and a fun prize!!

What is geocaching? A fun sport created by Mike Teague where you use your GPS device or smart phone with GPS application to locate hidden caches. These caches often include a stamp and a log book so that you can record the fact that you were there, and may have small objects for you to take in exchange for leaving one.

More resources on geocaching include:

REI has a good article on how to geocache, the history of geocaching, geocaching etiquette, and FAQs here.

Happy hunting! We hope to see you at the library soon!
