Austin Piazzolla Quintet Plays Denver Public Library

Our live music series continues with a spectacular concert featuring the Texas group APQ Tango (AKA The Austin Piazzolla Quintet). Monday, April 1 at Central Library.

They're one of the most popular tango groups in the region, and APQ will be playing a special, free concert for us this Monday night! As an added bonus, dancers from Parasol Arts will be on hand to add traditional tango dances to some of APQ's music selections. Hope you can join us for a memorable evening.

Nuevo Tango with APQ

Central Library, Level 7 Vida Ellison Gallery

APQ (Austin Piazzolla Quintet) was recently dubbed the Number-One-Not-To-Be-Missed group at the 2012 Houston International Festival. APQ has been stunning audiences in Austin and beyond since 2009. Featuring some of the finest talent on the Austin music scene today, APQ specializes in the intense and passionate compositions of the late Ástor Piazzolla. In addition to Piazzolla's compositions, the group continues in the Nuevo Tango tradition with unique arrangements of Piazzolla's classic works, talented improvisations, and breathtaking original compositions. Libertango, the quintet’s first album, was released in summer of 2010.
